As on April 15th, 2020 India the number of total COVID-19 positive patients in India has increased by more than 11,000. Although for a population of more than 1.3 this number is not very scary. Now India has more patients than in South Korea which stands at sixth position in total diagnosed COVID-19 patients. South Korea has been able to control the pandemic by rigorous testing measures. China stands at number one for the total cases diagnosed in Asia but the number of new cases has started decreasing in China too. Iran, Turkey, and Israel stand at second third and fourth position in Asia for the number of cases diagnosed for COVID-19 infection.
India has taken strict measures by doing a lockdown for 21 days which ended on April 14th, 2020. Now the lockdown has been extended till May 3rd, 2020 with even stricter measures.
New guidelines for the Indian population during the extended lockdown:- Citizens will now have to cover there faces with a cloth or homemade mask while going out to buy essential supplies.
